Fabric Landscape Decollage (6 hour class plus lunch break, for all skill levels)
Create a beautiful landsape using fabric and fusibles, with no stitching! In this one-day class, you’ll complete an 11"x14" fabric landscape of your own design, ready to be framed. It will look like a painting – a “fabric painting”! No experience is necessary. Anyone can make these. With many chances to change your mind as your work evolves throughout the day, it’s easy and fun. These landscapes make wonderful gifts, since they can be designed in any style or color scheme. If you prefer, Debbie will show how to alter this technique, so your finished decollage can be quilted or stitched later, at home. Detailed handout included. See more examples of this class on the Landscapes page.
Fabric Seascape Decollage (3 to 4-hour class, for all skill levels)
Create a breathtaking underwater scene in fabric, using fusibles to make an 11”x14” fabric decollage that can be framed or stitched/quilted at home later, if you prefer. No templates or patterns are needed with these easy techniques. Learn how to use your rotary cutter to cut kelp in a free-form style – it’s easy! With their vibrant colors, the fish are “woven” through the kelp to give your seascape a 3-D look. They make great gifts, and it's a fun project to share with your kids and grandkids – they’ll love making “fishy” scenes! A detailed handout will be given. See more examples of this class on the Seascapes page.

Fabric Decollage Greeting Cards (3 hour class, for all skill levels)
Learn to make one-of-a-kind greeting cards by fusing fabrics onto blank card stock, and embellishing them with Debbie's rubber stamps, inks and embossing powders, making 4 cards in class. No stitching is required and no experience is needed. These cards can be made for special occasions or as elegant note cards - your choice. They're even nice enough to be framed, for great gift ideas. Bet you can't make just one! Learn lots of tips and tricks in this class. A great way to use small fabric scraps. Handout included. See more examples of this class on the Jewelry & Cards page. (Click here to see photos from a recent Card Class.)

Fabric Decollage Jewelry (3 hour class, for all skill levels)
Learn to create jewelry you’ll treasure for a lifetime! Imagine making pins, pendants and earrings using beautiful fabrics, fusible web and other adhesives. With no sewing, it’s easy and fast using Debbie’s quick-fuse techniques. You can make jewelry with new materials or recycle older costume jewelry into new. You’ll make two pins or pendants and two pairs of earrings (or any combination totaling four pieces). You’ll go home with finished jewelry! (This is not a beading class.) Handout included. See more examples of this class on the Jewelry & Cards page.
Rubber Stamping on Fabric (3 hour class, for all skill levels)
Bring your own fabrics to class and use Debbie’s rubber stamps, stencils, inks, paints, paint sticks and markers to create unique pieces that will add pizazz to your quilts, wearables or decollage! Learn tricks for getting crisp, clear images that are permanent once heat-set, and enhance your fabrics even more with inks and markers for depth and shading. We’ll even do velvet embossing, and Debbie will provide the velvet! Detailed handout included. Everything provided except the fabric, or for an additional fee, she can provide a fabric kit also. See more examples of this class on the Stamped Fabrics page.
Fabric Painting (6 to 7 hour class, plus lunch break, for all skill levels)
Join the fun as you learn at least 14 techniques for painting fabric, including some that look like they’re airbrushed! You’ll leave class with approximately 4 yards of hand-painted fat quarter sized pieces, and no two will be alike. These paints are completely colorfast once they’re heat-set. No dye powders to mix either! We’ll experiment with scrunching, sun printing, mottling, sponging, stamping, pleating, tilting and splattering. We’ll twist and twirl, and do shibori too! We’ll even paint skies and water, experiment with masking and more. Detailed handout included. Easy techniques, no prior experience necessary. Lectures:
"Fabric Scraps Become Fine Art"
This lecture is both entertaining and informative, encouraging quilters and other fiber artists to see their work as fine art, while stretching the boundaries of what can be done with fabric. Debbie will show samples along with slides, explaining how she developed her technique and sharing how it doesn't take any art training (because she's had none!) to create a beautiful fabric decollage without the time and planning required for quilting. (Of course, stitching or quilting could be added, if you like.) This is a great way to work with all those leftover fabric scraps. Add a mat and frame, and voilá, it's fine art! This will open up a whole new world to fabric lovers -- you'll never look at fabric the same way again!
“Fabric Painting – easy techniques with eye-popping results!" (also available as a class; see above description)
Join the fun as Debbie takes you through her specialty fabric painting techniques. See how easy it is to create your own one-of-a-kind fabrics, for quilts that sizzle! Learn lots of tips and tricks. Fabric painting is fun and anyone can do it! What a great way to make your quilts, wearables and other fabric art truly unique. Warning: fabric painting can become addictive!
