Students' work in recent quilt show!
Four of the quilts displayed at the Gathering of Quilts 2012 Show in Punta Gorda, Florida, were quilted Butterfly Bouquet Wallhangings started in my class last summer for the Disconnected Piecers Quilt Guild. One of them was an award winner -- congratulations to Margaret McConnell! I'm so proud and happy for all four of these artists! Two of the quilts are pictured on the new Student Gallery 6 Page, so you can click here to see them!
(If you've made a fabric decollage in any of my classes, please send me a .jpg picture, and I'll add it to the Student Gallery.)
Slide show of my recent work ...
My two underwater scenes can be seen by clicking on this link, which takes you to a Smilebox slide show with photos of both pieces and step-by-step pictures of how they were made. The turtles and some of the shells were done with Tsukineko inks to achieve the desired shading. With water fabrics, those turtles really stand out. I hope you enjoy the show!
Slide show of a Landscape Class ...
This is a great slide show that Lynn Suhr put together during my Fabric Landscape Decollage Class for the West Palm Beach Quilt Guild in July, 2011. Beautiful work by all these students! Love the step-by-step pictures of Lynn's fabric landscape. Click here to see the show!
